Aapo Knuutila
Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare

My role involves research and expert tasks related to vaccinations and infectious diseases, where the primary research objectives are the national immunization program and its development, and diseases preventable by vaccination.

The research will guide, support, evaluate, and develop the national immunization program.

At the moment my research topics include (but are not limited to) the evaluation of whooping cough, tick-borne encephalitis, and influenza vaccines, and conducting seroprevalence studies for pneumococcal serotypes.
