The aim of my research is to produce new knowledge that supports the development of business models for new product-service solutions based on natural resources.
This is achieved by examining supply- and demand-side drivers and changes in the operational environment across the sector. The research tackles social and environmental challenges, such as the need for sustainable construction materials and the wider adoption of nature-based innovations in the built environment to mitigate climate change impacts. By analyzing business ecosystems, actor roles, and social acceptance, the study contributes to understanding how transitions toward more sustainable solutions can be accelerated. The methods include expert interviews and workshops to examine actor roles, power relations, and transition pathways, as well as surveys to explore consumer perspectives. The initial empirical context is sustainable construction, with the intention of expanding into other contexts in the longer term.
