Rapid global changes and societal challenges—such as climate change, inequality, urbanization, and pandemics—demand new approaches to policy-making.
Traditional methods are criticized for being partial and neglecting marginalized voices. The UN’s SDGs and the rise of digital economies further complicate the policy landscape. There is a growing need for innovative policy design and impact evaluation tools that address complex interlinkages and promote sustainable growth. Current impact evaluation struggles with measuring long-term, indirect effects and understanding interactions between policy instruments. A more comprehensive and systematic approach is needed. My research employs qualitative, practice-based methodologies to develop and refine concepts, criteria, and instruments for evaluating policy impacts at national and EU levels. It aims to support resilience and sustainability by helping policymakers apply these tools effectively.
