Target group: Reseachers in research institutes
To respond to the urgency and ambition of the European Green Deal objectives, Horizon 2020 will launch a call worth close to €1 billion in September. The Green Deal call will mobilise research and innovation to foster a just and sustainable societal transition aiming at ‘leaving nobody behind’.
According to Research Director Eeva Primmer from SYKE “Tulanet is an important representative of the science-policy-practice interface in Finland, with strong ongoing collaboration between the institutes. The large and targeted European Green Deal calls will provide a new platform for Tulanet organizations to collaborate at the European level. This will provide an important opportunity to feed Finnish trans-disciplinary research skills into European consortia.”
An international perspective on the European Green Deal will be presented by the director of the IIIEE, Per Mickwitz, from Lund University. Professor Mickwitz has extensive experience on research funding and is also a member of the Scientific Committee of the European Environmental Agency (EEA).
In this Tulanet event, we will look beyond the national event on 8th September https://www.businessfinland.fi/en/whats-new/events/horisontti-2020/2020/horizon-2020-green-deal-call/ and focus on the strengths of Tulanet to answer the specific expectations of the Green Deal calls.
